Unions want double raise, threaten with strike
Looking for a solution
Representatives of trade unions in healthcare are meeting with the health minister once again tomorrow, determined, if they do not get the salary increase they had requested, to initiate protest activities this autumn, including strike. They have been asking for a double raise since last spring. While the minister keeps repeating in public that the government is looking for ways to raise salaries in healthcare this autumn, signals coming from the Government have not been leading towards such a conclusion.
