The ICT sector is facing major problems despite growth

Tax relief measures for the next phase

Despite good news from Brussels where the EC has increased growth predictions for the Croatian GDP this year from 2.6% onto 3,1%, and the excellent business results achieved by the ICT sector with revenue that reached HRK 38.3 billion, the ICT department at the Croatian Employers’ Association (HUP) warns that the major exporting segment of the Croatian economy, which is the software industry, and the rest of the ICT sector are facing many negative developments. The head of the ICT division at the HUP Boris Drilo, who is also a member of the Board of directors at the Croatian Telecom, says they are suggesting the government to come up with five tax relief measures for the next phase.
