State will finally manage its land used by hotels
Most valuable state-owned property
After a decade of unsuccessful implementation, the Croatian law on land used for tourism and on other buildable land that was not valuated in the privatization process is about to become history. The intent of this law was to protect perhaps the most valuable state-owned property – the land in motor camps and around hotels. By the end of this year, it should be replaced with a new law that the State Property Ministry is writing. Among other things, this law will regulate the status of coastal land, which was excluded from the process of transformation of ownership and privatization by law. The value of this land was never assessed, Novi list reports.
