Prisons, hospices, nursing homes up for privatization
The Croatian Agency for Public-Private Partnership is about to get a strategic role in starting capital projects by the new government
The Croatian Agency for Public-Private Partnership, set up in January 2009, is about to get a strategic role in starting capital projects by the new government. Before this, the Milanovic Government is going to discharge present head Kamilo Vrana and appoint new management. According to its plans, the PPP Agency will be in charge of hundreds of projects intended to revive investments and boost economic recovery. Future investments are primarily seen in the energy sector, tourism, transport and social welfare infrastructure (hospices, nursing homes, prisons, schools). The state can no longer afford to finance this infrastructure, so a majority of these developments will be implemented according to the PPP model, a government source has confirmed.
