One in five bills in default

There are 6.5% residents with frozen accounts in Croatia, while most of them owe money to telcoes (40%, the state (25%), and banks and card companies (21%)

According to the results of the 7th payment habits survey in Croatia, the payment of one in five bills is in default, while bills are settled 20 days after the payment deadline on an average. The results were presented at the 5th conference organised by EOS Matrix and Lider business weekly, where it was pointed out that positive trends in payment habits continued this year, while households settled their liabilities faster than corporate users. Compared to last year, residents’ uncollectible receivables dropped from 5% to 3%, but it is not certain such a trend would be continued. There are 6.5% residents with frozen accounts in Croatia, while most of them owe money to telcoes (40%, the state (25%), and banks and card companies (21%).
