Investments into R&D insufficient

Croatia is the worst-ranked EU country

Total HRK 3.2bn was spent on R&D in Croatia last year, which was by 4.3% more compared to 2017, but with a share of R&D spending in GDP of only 0.86% (improvement by only 0.01%) Croatia is among the worst-ranked EU member countries. In the EU overall, on the other hand, spending on R&D has been up constantly, the Industry Sector of the national chamber of commerce HGK warns, Poslovni dnevnik reports.
