GDP growth speeds up to 2.6%
The initial quarterly growth estimate
The Croatian statistics agency is going to announce its initial estimate of the quarterly GDP growth in two weeks, but different forecast models already suggest that economic activity picked up during this period. In its latest newsletter, the central bank HNB states that, after stagnation by the end of 2018, real GDP rate continued growing in the Q12019. Based on the latest value of its CEIZ composite index, the Zagreb Institute of Economics has come to the same conclusion; it estimates that Croatia's GDP was up by 0.9% compared to the previous quarter, Poslovni dnevnik reports.
