Foreign owners pay better wages
Lowest salaries are in the textile industry
According to data from the Mojaplaca service analysing salaries, the average monthly net salary in Croatia in Q2 2019 was HRK 5,819 and by 1% higher than in Q1 and 4% higher than in 2018. Also, there are more of those whose salary is under this average than those who receive more. Apart from top managers, best-paid are workers in the technology and development, IT and HR, while the worst paid are those who work for the textile industry. Companies that have foreign owners pay salaries that are 7% above average, while those that have domestic owners (private sector) pay salaries 4% under the average.
