Drug wholesalers will get half of what they asked for
The first HRK 300m in October
By the end of this year, drug wholesalers will get HRK 500m from the national healthcare agency HZZO to cover the debt for medications they had supplied to hospitals; the first HRK 300m will come in October, it was agreed yesterday in a meeting with health minister Milan Kujundzic. Tomorrow, a meeting will be held with country prefects to see how the control of spending by hospitals can be improved, Poslovni dnevnik reports. Kujundzic also said that the Government had discussed a potential loan to cover the entire outstanding debt older than 60 days (HRK 2.1bn), given that interest rates are still low.
